With its creativity and outstanding organisation this event continues to drive large groups of visitors our charming little town. Ghostwalk is a three evening event that allows guests to step into New Bern’s past. This year you will meet many of the families that lived here throughout the centuries and continue to haunt our city. As night falls in New Bern’s Historic District October 22-24 these ghostly families will reappear, so be on the lookout!
Meet spirits at 17 different ghost haunts including homes, churches, and theatres and enjoy the ghostly actors who will share spirited stories in the very locations that their characters lived and visited. And at Cedar Grove Cemetery candlelight will lead you on oyster shell paths as ghosts emerge from shadows to tell you their stories.
Witness Sliced Bread at Agony Alley as the Veri-Good Bakery partners with a Mr. Cap-one and boy do things get confusing!  Buy home-baked treats at our Veri-Good Bakery on the Attmore-Oliver House grounds!
Delight in special Ghostwalk entertainment  in the Historic Athens and Masonic Theatres presented by the New Bern Civic Theatre and RiverTowne Players!
Enjoy the spirited, soulful and syncopated rhythms of jazz by the Daynette Snead Gospel Jazz Ensemble at First Baptist Church.
